A special ceremony was held in Ariel on August 24, 2022, to inaugurate a new and unique MDA intensive care vehicle, protected against gunfire.
The vehicle was donated by Prof. Marat Ressin through the MDA Friends Association in Israel and will be placed at his request at the MDA station in Ariel.
The modern Mercedes Sprinter car is the first of its kind in Israel was designed according to the highest standards and at the international level in accordance with the strictest requirements of MDA, manufactured by the Israeli company and assembled in Poland. The protection in the vehicle against gunfire gives the staff and patients maximum protection and enables the safe arrival of MDA teams to the scene of the incident and treatment under any threat using the most advanced intensive care equipment. An automatic air and bacteria purification system was installed in the vehicle, which helps keep the safety and health of the patients and medical staff.
The MDA station in Ariel is the central station in Samaria and runs an intensive care unit 24 hours a day, as well as an ambulance. 30 emergency medicine medics and paramedics employed by the MDA work at the station along with about 100 volunteers, of whom about 65 are teenagers. MDA teams at the station respond to the many arias on Samaria roads and many residents living in the area in routine incidents, traffic accidents and security incidents and work in full cooperation with the IDF.
Prof. Marat Ressin and his family, who donated the armored car, are great donors to the State of Israel and help the citizens of the country a lot.
